As an employee your monthly contributions towards social security – which means health, nursing, unemployment and pension insurance – are deducted from your gross salary. Contributions towards nursing, unemployment and pension insurance schemes have always been uniformly fixed by the legislator. Until the end of 2008, however, contribution rates for health insurance could be defined by the insurance funds themselves. This all changed with the Gesundheitsfonds, or health fund. Since 2009, statutory health insurance funds have also been subject to a uniform contribution rate – including SBK.
If the available monies are not sufficient for a health insurance fund, then it must levy an additional contribution, which the policyholder must then come up with. Employers do not pay for any of this additional contribution.
And that is not all that will be staying the same: SBK’s outstanding service and high levels of customer satisfaction will remain firmly in place as well.
If you would like to know what your contributions will be, then you can calculate them here using our simple and convenient contribution calculator.
Under the “Contribution rates” menu item you will find tables detailing the rates for nursing insurance and pension insurance, and for special categories of people.
It may seem like a lot of facts and figures, but we promise not to lose sight of the human factor. At SBK you are always at the centre of things – and well insured all round.
You will find an overview of all our contribution rates here.
Alternatively, ask your personal Customer Consultant, who will gladly answer any questions you might have about contributions.
