Siemens-Betriebskrankenkasse (SBK) strives to make its websites and mobile applications accessible to all in accordance with national legislation implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and Council.

This declaration on accessibility applies to the Meine SBK app for the Google Android and Apple iOS operating systems.

Status of consistency with the requirements

The Meine SBK app complies with the German Federal Ordinance on Barrier-Free Information Technology (Barrierefreie Informationstechnik-Verordnung (BITV) 2.0.) with the following inconsistencies and exceptions.

Inaccessible content

We are currently working on making the following content accessible:

Switching the screen orientation to landscape mode is not currently possible. We are implementing this feature together with the roll-out of tablet compatibility.

The focus order of the app is not yet efficient at all points. As a result, screen reader users sometimes have to go through additional reading steps in order to run through the content without interruptions.

For security reasons, the registration form does not currently allow the use of autofill and autocomplete functions. This prevents unauthorised individuals from creating Meine SBK accounts.
