Making care at home easier

Take advantage of financial support for care at home. We provide subsidies for home modifications that promote independent living and for care aids that make care at home easier, such as disposable gloves.

What are the eligibility criteria for care aids?

How to obtain care aids:

You can obtain care aids through contracted partners such as pharmacies and medical supply shops. We are happy to provide you with contact details for contracted partners in your area. These providers have the necessary application forms available and invoice us directly. Alternatively, you can purchase the products yourself and submit the receipts to us for reimbursement.

What are the eligibility criteria for a home emergency call system?

How to obtain a home emergency call system:

Contact a provider of home emergency call devices and sign a contract with them. Once we have received the provider’s documentation, we will check whether the criteria for a monthly subsidy of €27 are met.

For all other medical aids – such as wheelchairs, walking aids or a nursing bed – simply submit the relevant medical prescription to us.

What are the eligibility criteria for assistance with home modifications?

How to obtain benefits that improve your home environment:

To qualify, you must submit an application and send it to us together with a cost estimate from the tradesman.

Once it has been established that the requirements are met, we will support home modifications with up to €4,180 per measure. You will receive this subsidy without an income assessment. If several people in need of care in a shared home benefit from the modification, each individual is entitled to this subsidy. If several people in need of care live in subsidised shared housing, the total amount is capped at €16,720.

We also cover the costs of moving to a fully accessible home.
