What are the eligibility criteria for nursing home benefits?
How much are the monthly benefits for residential care?
We contribute towards the costs of accommodation in a nursing home. Depending on the care level, the following maximum entitlement to benefits for care-related costs applies on a monthly basis.

In addition, we cover a supplement to your care-related personal contribution, including the training levy, which increases with the duration of full-time residential care.

This personal contribution is independent of your care level. This means that even if your care level increases, your costs remain the same.
Important to know: Only this care-related personal contribution is subsidised. You are responsible for the costs of accommodation and meals as well as any investment costs.

Full-time residential care in facilities for people with disabilities
People in need of care with care levels 2 to 5 are also entitled to long-term care insurance benefits in facilities where the focus is on participation in working life and community life, school education or the upbringing of people with disabilities. We cover 15 per cent of the nursing home fees agreed with the social welfare provider, up to a maximum of 278 euros per month.
Under certain conditions, you may also be entitled to a care allowance – for example, while staying at home, at weekends or during the holidays.
