Dental checkups for children
Regular dental check-ups are particularly important for children
Naturally, you want your child to have healthy teeth. A key requirement for this is consistent dental care twice a day. Additional protection is provided through professional dental checkups. SBK covers the costs of the legally defined dental checkups for your child. On top of that, you will receive a bonus if your child participates in the SBK Bonus Scheme.
The type and scope of preventive dental checkups for early detection and prevention depend on your child’s age, whether it concerns the teeth, mouth, or jaw.
How your child receives dental checkups
Just present your child’s SBK healthcare card at the dental practice. All preventive checkups are billed directly to us by the dental practice, no paperwork for you.

The bonus booklet – your companion for a higher subsidy for dental prostheses
With the bonus booklet you receive from your dental practice, you can document your child’s regular dental checkups. How it works: just have each visit recorded and confirmed by the practice. This not only supports your child’s dental health but can also save money later—because if your child can prove regular checkups, they will receive a higher subsidy for any future dental prostheses.
You can also use the bonus booklet digitally through the SBK patient record. Your child’s dentist can enter both new and past checkups there.
