Professional teeth cleaning
Feelably clean teeth
A professional teeth cleaning (PZR) removes plaque, cleans the spaces between your teeth, and polishes and fluoridates the tooth surfaces. This helps prevent inflammation and keeps your teeth and gums healthy in the long term.
What happens during a professional teeth cleaning?
The session begins with a personal consultation and examination. You’ll receive valuable tips for improving your oral hygiene. Then, plaque and tartar are removed from your teeth and the spaces between them. Dentists or dental hygienists use various tools and techniques for this - such as ultrasound, air or water sprays, and traditional dental floss.
After the cleaning, your teeth are polished to leave the surfaces smooth and clean. Finally, a fluoride gel is applied to strengthen and protect your teeth from cavities.
A full professional teeth cleaning takes around 45 minutes.
