Speech therapy app for children
Digital self-training for children with articulation disorders
The speech therapy app from neolexon helps your child practice speaking in a playful and motivating way. It complements speech therapy treatment and enables your child to easily continue their progress at home.
App as a supplement to speech therapy treatment
With our speech therapy app, which is certified as a medical device, we support your child in supplementing and intensifying speech therapy treatment. The “Digital Self-Training for Children with Articulation Disorders” is based on a learning model that combines computer-assisted learning via an app with regular speech therapy sessions. The use of the app cannot and should not replace speech therapy, but rather complement and intensify it in a meaningful way.
The app offers playful self-training with five exercise modules in which children practice hearing sounds and their position in words, as well as producing sounds in words, sentences, and spontaneous speech.
How does the speech therapy app work?
The training is individually tailored to your child's articulation disorder by the speech therapist. Your child practices one or more modules at home that have been activated by the therapist. Each exercise module is explained in the app.
In exercises for sound perception, your child receives direct feedback on whether the task has been solved correctly or incorrectly. For exercises on producing sounds in words or sentences, the voice recordings are saved. They are then available to your child's practice for checking and evaluating their own training.
The exercise modules are child-friendly and playfully designed. In addition, the app rewards regular practice, motivating your child to continue. Daily notifications also remind them to practice regularly.
Who is the speech therapy app suitable for?
To use the digital self-training program for children with articulation difficulties, your child must already be receiving speech therapy, and the therapy provider must support the use of the app.
Any qualified speech therapist can provide this service. If your child is already in treatment, simply ask their therapy practice about it.
If not, you can find a therapy provider that offers support for the digital self-training program on the Neolexon website.
