Managing the ePA for other people
For families, representatives, and caregivers
With the ePA, you have the option of representing others or being represented yourself. For example, you can set yourself up as a representative for your own children or elderly family members. This means you always have all your loved ones' important documents to hand and can manage the data yourself. You can find out more about this quickly and easily in this video:
Set up representatives – even without your own ePA app
Are you unable to manage your ePA yourself or need assistance? You can designate up to 5 people as representatives who are allowed to manage your ePA. These can be family members, friends, legal guardians, or other trusted persons. They can also be insured with a different health insurance provider. Representatives can access the patient record of the person they represent via their own ePA app.
