SBK Babyglück is for children born before December 31, 2024. For children born in 2025 or later, we offer our new SBK Family-Plus plan.

With our exclusive SBK Babyglück, you and your family benefit from additional services worth up to €200. This includes selected preventive care services worth up to €150 and the Babyglück bonus program, where you can receive an additional €50 bonus.

What costs does SBK cover for expectant mothers?
As an expectant mother, you know best what is good for you and your family. That’s why we provide you with a flexible budget of €150. You can use this amount according to your individual needs for selected additional benefits:

Additional preventive medical checkups

We want you to receive the best possible care during your pregnancy and feel more secure. That is why, as an expectant mother, you will receive additional preventive medical checkups from us that go beyond the statutory standard. If you wish, you can take advantage of the following additional examinations as part of your €150 budget during pregnancy:

You can use part of your €150 budget for a joint childbirth preparation course. For courses offered by contracted midwives, we cover not only the costs for you as the expectant mother, but also for your partner or another accompanying person.

At the crucial moment of birth, your midwife is personally there for you. You can arrange a so-called midwife on-call service for the final five weeks before delivery. Within the €150 budget, we cover the costs for an approved contracted midwife of your choice.

During pregnancy, iodine, folic acid, magnesium, and iron are among the most important nutrients and minerals for both mother and child. That is why we reimburse these four pharmacy-only medications within the SBK Babyglück budget of up to €150 during pregnancy to meet your individual needs.

Babyglück bonus program
We are pleased when you take an active role in caring for your own health and the health of your baby on a regular basis. As a reward, you can receive up to €50 through the Babyglück Bonus Program. Depending on the preventive services you take advantage of, you can earn up to €50, which can be used for baby-related courses.

If you prefer not to use your bonus for a baby course, you can alternatively receive up to €25 for personal use.
How to receive benefits from SBK Babyglück:
You must be insured with SBK at the time you wish to use a benefit from SBK Babyglück.
Do you have an invoice for SBK Babyglück or would you like to submit your SBK Baby Bonus?
Simply upload your documents in Meine SBK. Alternatively, you can send us invoices, supporting documents, or your Babyglück bonus booklet by post. You can find our address and a prepaid envelope here. After just a few days, the reimbursement will be transferred directly to your account.
