MedPlus Asthma Program
The disease management program for asthma sufferers
In Germany, around one in twenty adults and one in ten children are affected by asthma to varying degrees. With proper medical treatment, it is possible to lead a largely normal life. However, learning to manage the condition confidently can be challenging. The MedPlus treatment program supports you along the way.
Best possible care
With MedPlus, you can rely on optimal treatment and significant relief in managing asthma. You can take advantage of the new opportunities offered by high-quality medical care and play an active role yourself. You will become more confident and be able to lead a largely normal life without restrictions. Participation in MedPlus is free of charge if you wish. For legal reasons, a declaration of participation is required.
Individual treatment plan
To ensure maximum success, your doctor will work with you to create an individualized treatment plan. This gives you clarity about all steps at all times. Medication and therapy options are precisely tailored to you and the course of your condition. Your ability to manage the condition is strengthened so that you can cope more easily with everyday life.
Special offer for children and adolescents
In a special asthma camp, children and adolescents up to the age of 18 learn how to manage asthma – both in a playful and practical way. The measures in the asthma camp are based on medical, educational, and psychological findings. Enjoyment of learning is always the top priority. This asthma training can improve your child’s quality of life and health.
How to participate in MedPlus asthma
If you would like to participate in MedPlus, please contact your personal SBK consultant. Children can also participate in MedPlus asthma from the age of one.
Enrollment and completion of the declaration of participation take place at your doctor’s practice. After registration, your doctor will create a treatment plan with you and explain the content and options in detail. Your previous medical history will be documented and the next treatment steps will be planned, for example when specific examinations are advisable.
