If you need to be cared for at home due to an illness, fast and comprehensive support is especially important. To ensure your medical treatment, we therefore provide you with support as part of home nursing care.

How long and to what extent do you receive home nursing care?
The duration of home nursing care for medical treatment care depends on your illness and the medical prescription.
You can receive basic care and domestic support for four weeks. Beyond this period, we offer additional support options. We will be happy to advise you on this.
We cover the costs of home nursing care for you. You only have to pay the statutory co-payments. These amount to 10 percent of the incurred costs for the first 28 days per calendar year and €10 per medical prescription.
To reduce your financial burden, we can exempt you from co-payments under certain conditions. If your co-payments exceed two percent of your family household’s annual gross income (burden limit), we will reimburse the amount above this limit. At the same time, you will be exempt from further co-payments for the rest of the year. To do so, please send us your proof of income and the collected co-payment receipts. We determine the burden limit anew for each calendar year. You can easily calculate your individual co-payment limit using our co-payment calculator.
Where do you receive home nursing care?
Home nursing care usually takes place in your home. However, it can also be provided at another suitable location – for example in assisted living facilities, schools, or kindergartens.
How to receive home nursing care
You need a medical prescription for home nursing care. This can be issued by your medical practice or the hospital.

After selecting a nursing service, please send us the prescription by post. You can find our address and a prepaid envelope
The prescription can also be sent to us by your nursing service. We will then take care of everything else with the nursing service – so you can fully focus on your recovery.
If you are in need of long-term care, you will receive benefits from long-term care insurance. You can use medical treatment care in parallel.
