Travel vaccinations - your benefits

  • We cover the full cost of travel vaccinations for private trips abroad.
  • You benefit from a genuine 100% reimbursement, as there is no annual maximum amount to consider. In addition, we do not apply any reductions to vaccination fees or co-payments.
  • Our SBK Overseas Consultingservice will provide you with information on the travel vaccinations required specifically for your trip.
  • You can also receive a bonus for travel vaccinations as part of the SBK bonus Scheme.

    What costs does SBK cover?

    We reimburse 100% of the cost of the vaccine and 100% of the cost of the medical service. Coverage of the medical service includes not only the vaccination itself but also a medical examination (to determine suitability for vaccination) and counseling on possible risks and side effects.

    Please note: Travel medicine vaccination advice, i.e., which vaccinations are recommended for specific travel destinations, is not part of the information provided about the risks and side effects of a vaccination. Such vaccination advice is a private service (IGeL service) that you pay for yourself.

    If you would like to know who bears the costs for travel vaccinations for a work-related trip, please contact the team of experts at SBK Overseas Consulting. For a work-related trip, the employer is usually responsible. For voluntary and volunteer work, the relevant aid or sending organizations are responsible.

  • TBE tick-borne encephalitis (early summer meningoencephalitis)
  • Yellow fever
  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B
  • Japanese encephalitis
  • Meningococcal meningitis
  • Poliomyelitis
  • Rabies
  • Typhoid fever
  • Malaria prophylaxis

    • How to get your travel vaccinations

    If you need a travel vaccination, it is best to contact your general practitioner first. They will usually be able to give you the standard travel vaccinations. Only in exceptional cases is it necessary to contact a tropical medicine institute or a travel medicine practice.

    Invoice reimbursement

    After your vaccination, simply upload the vaccine prescription (private prescription) and the invoices for your travel vaccinations to the Meine SBK app, stating your destination country. Please also indicate that this is a private trip abroad. Alternatively, you can send the documents by post: you will find our address and a prepaid envelope here.

    Once we have received the documents, we will transfer the reimbursable amount directly to your bank account. If you have any questions, your SBK consultant will be happy to assist you. You can find the contact details here.
