Online appointment booking

Would you like to book a doctor’s appointment without having to wait on the phone? With the online appointment booking feature in Meine SBK, you can book and manage doctor’s appointments around the clock. Book appointments directly with GPs, paediatricians, gynaecologists and ophthalmologists. The same applies to an initial psychotherapy consultation. For other areas of specialisation, you can use a referral code to receive prompt appointment suggestions.

You can use the online appointment booking feature in Meine SBK to conveniently book doctor’s appointments for yourself or your family members up to the age of 15 via the app. Young people aged 15 and over can book their own appointments via their Meine SBK Account. 

Good to know: For this service, we partner up with the 116 117 platform of the German Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (Kassenärztliche Bundesvereinigung – KBV). The KBV represents the interests of all contracted doctors and psychotherapists in private practice. This means you are using a comprehensive, established system for finding doctors and booking appointments.

You can book a doctor's appointment directly via the online booking service in Meine SBK for the following areas of specialisation:

Simply select who you would like to book an appointment for as well as the desired area of specialisation. Available appointments will then be displayed.

For areas of specialisation other than those listed above – such as cardiology or orthopaedics – you will need a referral code. You can obtain this from your treating doctor if a medical emergency is identified. 

You will find the code on your referral letter or on the Psychotherapeutic Information Form (PTV 11). Please have the code to hand when booking your appointment.

The referral code will show you appointments with a medical specialist available within the next four weeks. The suggested practices are generally easy to reach and are usually no more than a 30-minute one-way trip away by public transportation. You can view and manage your booked appointments at any time in Meine SBK.

Book a doctor’s appointment

Important: If you are unable to attend an appointment, please cancel it in good time so that it can be made available to other patients. If you do not cancel in good time, your referral code will expire. If an appointment is cancelled by you or the practice, your referral code will automatically be extended by seven days. This allows you to book a replacement appointment straight away.
