HPV home screening test
Find out how you can test yourself easily and discreetly
Certain human papillomaviruses (HPV) can significantly increase the risk of cervical cancer. Regular screening is therefore particularly important in order to detect HPV infections at an early stage and treat any cell changes in good time. With the HPV home screening test, you can test yourself easily, discreetly and reliably – without having to visit your doctor.
Detect HPV infections early – before cervical cancer develops
Early detection can save lives. With the HPV home screening test, preventative healthcare is now particularly easy. If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can conveniently order your personal home test – without a doctor’s appointment or long waiting times at the practice. This saves you valuable time and effort.
The discreetly packaged test contains everything you need for the smear test – including easy-to-understand instructions. Take the smear test at your leisure and send the sample to the laboratory in the return envelope provided. After just a few days, you will receive your medically confirmed test result digitally.
And best of all, for female SBK insurants aged between 20 and 34, we cover the costs of this HPV home screening test. This is because the risk of HPV infection is particularly high at this age. The prerequisite is that you haven’t had a cervical cancer screening carried out by your gynaecologist in the last 24 months.
HPV-positive – what does that mean for you?
Important to know: a positive HPV test does not automatically mean you have cervical cancer. The result simply shows that human papillomaviruses have been detected in you and that their progression should be monitored.
If you receive a positive test result, we are there for you immediately: if you wish, you can arrange a telephone consultation with a gynaecologist from our network of participating experts. Your personal SBK Consultant is also there to assist you – for example, in finding a suitable specialist.
