SBK optional sick pay tariff for artists and publishers
With SBK, you are individually insured against loss of income in the event of incapacity for work.
For artists and publishers, even a few days off work can quickly have financial consequences. That's why people in these often specialized occupations depend on good health or need additional protection. With SBK, artists and publishers can get solid coverage with statutory sick pay starting on the 43rd day of incapacity for work. You can obtain additional protection from the 15th day of incapacity for work with the SBK optional tariff for artists and publishers.

How to obtain the SBK optional sickness benefit tariff for artists and publishers:
You can participate in this tariff if you are insured through the Artists' Social Insurance Fund (Künstlersozialkasse). You can obtain the application form directly from your personal SBK consultant.
Please send the completed application form by mail to SBK. We do not require any further documentation from you. Your insurance coverage always begins on the first day of the month – starting from a date of your choosing in the future. You will enjoy full insurance coverage after three months of membership in the tariff.
