Your access to all SBK services
With your SBK healthcare card, you can conveniently use all services by SBK at doctors' offices, with recognized therapists, and in clinics.
Please always use the SBK healthcare card we most recently sent you. As soon as you receive a new SBK healthcare card, your old card is no longer valid and will be blocked. This happens regardless of the printed expiration date.
The photo on your SBK healthcare card
To make it easier to identify the SBK healthcare card, insured persons aged 15 and over will receive a card with a photo. Insured persons who cannot submit a photo for health reasons receive a card without one – for example, if they require nursing care and are unable to travel.

Replacement certificate for your SBK healthcare card
Your SBK healthcare card isn’t working, or you don’t have it with you?
There are several ways to provide a medical facility, such as a doctor’s practice, with a replacement certificate.
1. The practice can request the replacement certificate directly via its practice management system, provided the necessary IT systems are available.
2. You can also access the replacement certificate yourself at any time in Meine SBK:
PIN and PUK for your SBK healthcare card

Cost reimbursement
You can decide how you want your healthcare services to be billed.
If you choose cost reimbursement, the services will no longer be billed directly via your SBK healthcare card. Instead, you will receive private invoices, which you must pay yourself first and then submit to us for reimbursement.
