As an SBK insurant, you therefore have free access to the Online Skin Check. From the comfort of your own home. Simply choose one of the participating practices, upload photos and describe your symptoms. Within a few hours, you will get your medical diagnosis and recommended treatment.
How the Online Skin Check works
Whether it’s an allergic reaction, a swollen insect bite or acute acne: When your skin reacts in a peculiar way, the Online Skin Check soon provides clarity. Get medical advice digitally from the comfort of your own home. Or even when you are away on holiday. This saves you waiting for an appointment with a specialist and making your own way to the practice.
The Online Skin Check doesn’t take long: you briefly describe your symptoms and upload three photos showing the change to your skin. After just 7 hours on average (maximum 48 hours), you will get a professional diagnosis from your preferred doctor at one of the participating practices. In addition, you will also be given a recommended treatment plus an E-Rezept (e-prescription) if required. In case of anomalies that require further investigation, make an appointment to attend the practice in person.

Important: Only one skin change per enquiry can be submitted for examination. If several abnormalities occur, please make multiple enquiries. Evaluating birthmarks and moles is limited to two enquiries per year.
Who can use the Online Skin Check?
The Online Skin Check is available to all SBK insurants. Especially practical for families: parents can also use the service for family members up to 15 years old to get quick, medical advice. Young people from the age of 16 can make use of the Online Skin Check independently.

The Online Skin Check is completely free for SBK insurants. Simply verify your identity with your SBK healthcare card when making your enquiry. The service is then charged directly to us. You can also use the service for your child family members.
