Protective travel vaccinations
We’ll contribute to the costs of most of your travel vaccinations

We’ll contribute to the costs of your travel vaccinations for personal trips abroad. Different vaccinations are recommended depending on your destination country. The SBK Overseas Consulting experts can advise you of which vaccinations are recommended for your destination.
You receive a subsidy for these travel vaccinations:
- Cholera
- Tick-borne encephalitis (TBE)
- Yellow fever
- Hepatitis A
- Hepatitis B
- Japanese encephalitis
- Meningococcal meningitis
- Poliomyelitis
- Rabies
- Typhus
- Malaria prophylaxis
What costs does SBK cover?
We cover 70% of the doctor’s fee for the vaccination as well as the costs of the vaccine. The doctor’s fee includes a medical examination and vaccination advice. The doctor determines whether you can be vaccinated and explains the potential risks and side effects of vaccination. Travel-specific vaccination advice, i.e. information on which vaccinations are recommended for specific destination countries, is not meant here. Such a consultation is a private service – also known as a personalised health care service – and must be paid for by you.
If you need information on who is responsible for the costs of travel vaccinations for business travel, please contact our SBK Overseas Consulting experts. Usually the employer is responsible for business travel, or in the case of charity or volunteer work, the corresponding aid organisation is responsible.

How to get protective travel vaccinations
If you need a travel vaccination, your first port of call is ideally your general practitioner. They can usually provide common travel vaccinations. Only in exceptional circumstances will you need to go to a vaccination centre or travel health clinic.
After vaccination, send us the prescription for the vaccine and the invoice for your travel vaccination. Please always state that it is for a personal trip abroad and specify the destination country. Please send the invoice to SBK, 80227 Munich, Germany. We will then transfer the reimbursement amount directly to your bank account. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your personal consultant.
