Patient summary - your SBK benefits:

  • All service information is quickly available to you and clearly presented.
  • You receive an overview of your personal treatment history.
  • Where to find the patient summary

You can easily view your SBK patient summary online via Meine SBK. If you need the patient summary as proof for supplementary insurance, for example, you can order it via Meine SBK.

Your personal consultant will also be happy to answer any questions you may have. You can find the contact details here.

    Service information in the ePA

You can also store an overview of the services you have used and the diagnoses you have submitted in your SBK electronic patient record (ePA). This requires authorization from you in the ePA. The overview will then be available to you in your SBK electronic patient record a few days later. This gives you the opportunity to share your health data with the doctors treating you. You can find more information about the SBK electronic patient record here

    Good to know:

  • Please note that it can take up to 9 months before you see all the data that your doctors have charged us for.
  • Exemption from co-payments: The SBK patient summary does not constitute proof of payment. If you would like to apply for exemption, please submit proof of co-payment (transfer voucher, receipt, invoice).
  • The protection of your personal data is particularly important to us. Benefit information is therefore deleted after 6 years for security reasons.
  • So that means for you: Your benefit information contains billing data for a maximum of 6 years in the past.
  • The responsibility for making a diagnosis remains with the doctor treating you. He or she will therefore answer your questions about a documented diagnosis.

Frequently asked questions about the SBK patient summary

We do not receive the doctors' billing data on the day of treatment, in some cases even 6 to 9 months later. For this reason, the billing data is only available to us after a very long delay. Unfortunately, we have no influence on this delay.

You can also request an overview of the services provided and the amounts billed directly from your doctor or hospital.

You can choose between a daily receipt, which you receive after treatment, or a quarterly statement. The latter must be issued by the doctor's practice no later than 4 weeks after the end of the quarter in which you have used the services. The doctor's surgery will charge you a flat rate of €1 plus postage for the quarterly receipt. You will bear these costs yourself, unfortunately we cannot reimburse them.

In the case of inpatient treatment, the hospital will inform you in writing of the list of services and costs. You can then decide up to 2 weeks after the end of treatment whether you would like to receive a patient summary. This will then be given to you free of charge on the day of discharge or sent to you by post afterwards.
