Tips for using the SBK website
Here you will find tips for using the SBK website and for the personal online self-service branch in simplified language:
Using the navigation feature with the keyboard
If you want to use the website with the keyboard, you can do this by pressing the tab key.
You can find the tab key to the left of the letter ‘Q’ on German keyboards. The tab key has two arrows. The tab key can also only have one arrow.
When you get to the section you are interested in, press the ‘Enter’ key to enter the page.
You can also use the tab key to navigate through the selected page. If you want to navigate between the headings, press the tab key.
You can go back by holding down the ‘Shift’ key and pressing the tab key. Press the tab key once for each page section you want to go back to.
Changing font sizes
If the font is too small, you can make it bigger. Use the control (‘Ctrl’) key to do this. The control key is on the left side of the keyboard. Hold down the control button. Press the control key and plus (‘+’) key to make the font bigger. Keep pressing the plus key until the font has reached the right size.
If the font is too big, you can make it smaller. Hold down the control button. Press the control key and the minus (‘–’) key to make the font smaller. Keep pressing the minus key until the font has reached the right size.
You can reset the font size to the size defined by SBK. Press the control key and the zero (‘0’) key.
Searching
The website has a search function. The search function is located above the main navigation feature (blue). Write your search term (word) in the search bar. Press the enter (‘Enter’) key. You will then be taken to a new page. You will find the results of your search on this page.
You can also use the tab key to use this page. Press the tab key to go to the next result. Press the enter key when you reach the result that interests you. You will then get to the selected page.
Special elements
We use drop-down lists on the website. These drop-down lists contain content. You can use the tab key to open a drop-down list on a page. Press the tab key to go to the drop-down list. Now press the enter key to open the drop-down list.
Searching for contacts/contact information
Here you will find information on SKB branches in your area. Go to the ‘Contact’ field to find this information. This is located on the right in the main navigation feature (blue). You can now use the SBK branch search function. Enter the name of the city or town in the rectangle. You can also enter the postcode of the city or town. The abbreviation for this is: PLZ. Then click on the ‘Find’ button. You can also press the enter key.
Here you will also find information about your personal consultant. Go to the ‘Contact’ field to find this information. This is located on the right in the main navigation feature (blue). Click on the ‘Find consultant’ button. You can now use the consultant search function. Enter your insurance number. You will find the insurance number on your electronic healthcare card. Enter your date of birth. Then click on the ‘Search’ button. You can also press the enter key.
