German Sustainability Award for Health 2025

Together with our partner GORILLA, we were honored to be nominated for the German Sustainability Award (DNP) in the category "Health".

For the first time, the German Sustainability Award Foundation recognized pioneering projects in this category that are driving the sustainability transformation in the healthcare sector.

These projects aim to prevent illness, preserve and protect people’s health, and respond to the challenges posed by social and environmental change. They also focus on raising awareness of new health-related challenges and empowering individuals to actively take responsibility for their own well-being.

SBK is the main partner of the GORILLA initiative in Germany and has been supporting the project sustainably and with conviction for several years. Our goal is to motivate young people to be more active and adopt a balanced, healthy diet.

The GORILLA program promotes health-supporting and sustainable environments in educational institutions and encourages young people to adopt confident, healthy, and eco-conscious lifestyles. Through the involvement of diverse stakeholders, GORILLA has developed into a health initiative that brings more health and environmental awareness into daily life—through joy, fun, and shared experiences.

Thanks to a broad network of partners, cross-media communication, and a life-oriented approach that connects school and leisure, the initiative shapes long-lasting structures and behaviors. It motivates schools and young people to engage in physical activity, freestyle sports, healthy and sustainable nutrition, environmentally conscious consumption, and a respectful, inclusive way of living together.
