SBK is the best for students

FOCUS MONEY, in collaboration with DFSI (German Financial Services Institute), has recognised the best cash registers for students.

For the fifth year in a row, SBK is ranked among the top nationwide health insurance providers. In the latest evaluation, SBK secured 7th place and was awarded the title "Top Health Insurance for Students."

To determine the best health insurance providers for students, the DFSI (German Financial Services Institute) analyzed data from a total of 69 statutory health insurers. The data was sourced from www.gesetzlichekrankenkassen.de, a platform that regularly collects and updates service data from all providers.

However, only 47 of the 69 health insurers agreed to complete the special DFSI questionnaire, which focused on student-specific benefits and was sent to all participating insurers.

The following categories were assessed in the study:

  • Customer service
  • Additional benefits
  • Optional tariffs
  • Individual health promotion
  • Benefits for stays abroad
  • Alternative/complementary medicine
  • Bonus programs
